VisIt developers use two different lists, visit-commits and visit-developers.

Visit-commit:
- Every time a commit is made, an email is sent describing the change.
- The mailing list is "visit-commits at ornl dot gov".
- You can only post to this list if you are a member.
- To get added to this list, go to https://email.ornl.gov/mailman/listinfo/visit-commit
- visit-commits is archived and its posts go back to the very beginning of the VisIt project
VisIt-developers:
- The VisIt developers mailing list is "visit-developers at ornl dot gov".
- You can only post to this list if you are a member.
- To get added to this list, go to https://email.ornl.gov/mailman/listinfo/visit-developers
- visit-developers is archived and its posts go back to 2008, when the list was founded.
